City of Rocks and Swimming

I love it when we can get together with Annie and her two girls! We always have so much fun!! Our latest adventure took us up to Almo. We went up to the City of Rocks and had a little picnic and then went hiking and exploring. The girls had a fun time climbing all of the rocks!!

After we got done hiking we went back to Durfee Hot Springs and went swimming. What a great way to cool off.. The girls loved it!!

We cant wait for our next adventure!!

Ainsley field trips/last day of school

I was able to go to most of Ainsley field trips this school year!

They went to the fire station in Paul. They watched a movie on fire safety. They also got a tour of the fire truck and was able to sent in one. They also got to spray the hose

Ainsley class also took a field trip to the Ag expo!  IT was a lot of fun

They also went to a dairy. They were showed how they milk cows. They also showed them all the baby calves!



Ainsley class also had a field trip to the Ag Expo at the Rupert fairgrounds. The kids got to learn a lot of different things! It was fun to be able and go with them! 

 

Her class also took a field trip to the Rupert Library! The Librarian read them a couple different books. Then they got a tour of the library.

I also took pictures of Ainsley on the last day of school. I can't believe that this year she will be 5... where did my baby go!! I am so proud of what a young little girl she is growing up to be. She has learned so much from being in school.

Cruiser

On May 1, 2016 Cruiser got hurt. We were out to Malta helping my dad move cows and I had put him and Drifter in a corral together. we decided to go up to Almo and go soaking. When we got back I went out and checked on the horses and cruiser had some how cut his leg.

We called the vet and he came out and stitched him up for us. For the next week we kept doctoring cruiser. His cut was looking really good, but about 8 days after he cut it open, the cut wasn't looking so good.

We hauled him up to Clarks and they kept him for 3 almost 4 weeks. Cruiser had a really bad infection that they couldn't get under control. Cruiser also had some damage to his tendon! The Vet finally  got the infection under control. They decided not to do surgery on the tendon. We are doing a rubber band treatment on him. Cruiser has a hook in his hoof that we take a rubber band though the hook and keep it tight while we pull it up to his knee, and then we wrap it. Cruiser will have to have this wrapped with the rubber band for the next 3-4 months. He still has a long road in head of him, but we are counting down the days!

1st of may

May first always means turning the cows out!! I am so lucky that I  get to help my dad. I love being able to go and out and help! This year the girls got to come out and help. They both had a fun time and keep asking when they get to go again!! I am so lucky that our girls love horses and helping papa Kenny as much as I do!! We cant wait for the next time!

Soccer Spring 2016

Both girls played soccer this year and did a fantastic job. They both improved so much and we are super proud of them!!

I helped coach Madison team along with Chase and Maribeth. We sure had a fun group of kids. Madison has improved so much from last year.

Ainsley was a little scared the first couple of games, but by the end of the season she was in there playing with all the kids!!

Arizona 2016

We were able to go back down to Arizona for a few days this year! This year my dad and chase entered to rope in the perfect 10 roping in Las Vegas at the end of March. It worked out perfect the girls spring break was the week before.. so we decided to make a fun trip out of it!!

We met my parents Sunday and headed to mesquite and stayed the night there!!

Monday morning we got up and went to Logandale, where the guys roped for a couple of hours.

We then loaded up and headed for Wittmann .

We got to Wittmann about 6;00 pm, got everything settled and went into Surpise AZto eat dinner. We ate at Texas road house!! Yummy!!

Our homes for the week!

Tuesday morning the guys got up and went roping! The girls went shopping.

We decided to do a little Easter egg hunt since we wouldn't be home for the girls to go to any..  

Tuesday evening we grilled steaks!! So good!! 

 

Wednesday the guys went shopping again. My mom and I did some laundry  that morning. We all met up at taste freeze for lunch, that afternoon the guys took the girls back to the trailer and me and my mom went and toured Wickenburg and did some shopping! I enjoyed being able to spend time with just mom!! Sure am lucky to have her!!!

Wednesday evening, Stoney made us an amazing dinner with ribs and tri tip!! So yummy!!! 

Arizona has some amazing sunsets!

 Thursday morning the guys got up and practiced while my mom and o got things cleaned up.. We got all packed up and hooked up.

We all loaded up and headed to Vegas about 11:00..

We stopped in Kingman to get fuel and to grab some lunch. After girls finished eating they took a nap and almost slept until Vegas. It was a very quiet ride!!

We made it to Vegas about 4:30 that afternoon.

Once we got settled. We decided to go to the bass pro shop.

We went to dinner at the steal n shake! We had to wait for awhile before we were able to eat so we took a few rides on the escalade!

Thursday night the girls stayed with my parents in the motel room.. They were so excited!

Friday morning we got up and took the girls swimming!! They loved it and didn't want to get out.

That afternoon we took the girls to The Mirage, where we got to see the dolphins and lions. We all loved the dolphins. We were able to get pretty close to one dolphin, his name was Maverick!

Friday night chase and my dad roped.

Saturday morning is when the perfect 10 roping was. Chase and my dad got up and got ready. It was an all day roping! Very long and it was cold that day. We spent a lot of time wrapped up in coats and blankets! Chase and my dad won 4th in a round. Saturday evening we headed over to Sams town and ate dinner.. then they had a little banquet where the guys got there money.

Sunday morning, bright and early we got up and got on the road.

We were all ready to come up. Had a fun time and enjoyed the weather but was so ready to come home!! We made it home Sunday evening. The weather was so cold!!! The next morning it had snowed!! I was ready to pack up and head back to Arizona!
